<p>The student will undertake a research project on a topic approved by the Head of School and selected in consultation with their supervisor. The supervisor will normally be a staff member in Mathematics and Statistics.</p>
<p class="labelheading">Learning Outcomes</p>
<ul>
<li>to give the student experience in the evaluation of result in that area; </li>
<li>to introduce the student to the literature in the area of his or her project. </li>
